The F-1 Student Visa

If you are a student who wants to study in the U.S., you can apply for the F-1 or M visa. The F-1 visa allows foreign students to enter the United States to pursue undergraduate and graduate level degrees. High school students are also issued F-1 student visas to participate in foreign exchange programs. The M visa applies in situations where the student wants to participate in a vocational or non-academic program. As long as the student remains in school, the visa will not expire.
